Khamtrül Ngak’chang Yeshé Dorje Rinpoche (1926 - 1993)
Khamtrül Ngak’chang Yeshé Dorje Rinpoche was a Nyingma Lama who practised mainly as a 'village ngakpa' - as a Tantric shaman specialising in shé-dür (exorcism) and weather control for the benefit of those amongst who he lived. He touched the hearts of all who knew him and was a major force in the introduction of the Nyingma Dudjom Ter Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism to the United Kingdom.

The white sangha (gö-kar-chang-lo'i-dé or ngak'phang) is a community of yogic practitioners or ngakpas and ngakmos ordained according to tantric samayas. Although we are ordained, Ngakpas (male)and Ngakmas (female) are householders and are bound by different commitments to the monastic or vinaya vows of the Red Sangha.
