His Holiness Trichen Jurme Kunzang Wangyal Rinpoche succeeded HH Penor Rinpoche as the titular head of the Nyingma school of Himalayan Buddhism in 2003. He is widely revered as a Mahasiddha and is considered to be an emanation of Padmasambhava.
