His Holiness Jigme Tsewang Thinley Norbu Chogley Nampar Gyalway De (HH Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche), is the eldest son of H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche former head of the Nyingma lineages. He is a primary holder of the Düdjom Tersar lineage and is considered to be an emanation of Longchen Rabjam (Longchenpa), the great fourteenth-century Nyingma Scholar and siddha. He is a pre-eminent teacher of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and he is patron of the Vajrayana Foundation in California and Hawaii.

This association with the Dudjom Lineage is a long one. He is the incarnation of Tulku Drime Oser, who was one of seven sons of Dudjom Lingpa (sGas-gter bDud-‘joms Gling-pa Khrag-‘thung Nus-ldan rDorje 1835-1904) and is considered to be an emanation of Longchenpa.

In his youth in Tibet he studied for 9 years at Mindroling Monastery.
