Kunzang Palyul Chöling are
Himalayan Buddhist centers following the Nyingma mahayana tradition under the spiritual direction of Jetsunma Ahkön Lhamo in Poolesville, Maryland, USA and Sedona, Arizona, USA.  They have links with His Holiness Pedma Norbu (Penor) Rinpoche who in 1985 recognised Jetsunma Ahkön Lhamo as the tulku (rebirth) of the17th c. Tibetan saint, Genyenma Ahkön Lhamo and enthroned her as Palyul Lineage holder.

At that time, HH Penor Rinpoche declared the Poolesville, Maryland center to be the seat of the Palyul lineage in the West and bestowed upon it the name Kunzang Odsal Palyul Changchub Chöling (Fully Awakened Dharma Continent of Absolute Clear Light). He returned again in 1988 and he gave the Rinchen Terdzö empowerments. HH Penor Rinpoche continues to visit and offer teachings at the Maryland Center, most recently in August 2006 but Kunzang Palyul Chöling  are organisationally independent of the Palyul monasteries and centers of his sangha. It is now among the largest Buddhist facilities in the West.  It provides monastic accommodation for monks and nuns, regular teachings and practices and a large stupa peace park. In all it has 72 acres of grounds. Since April of 1985, the members of KPC have maintained an ongoing 24-Hour Prayer Vigil dedicated to ending suffering.

The Sedona center is fully functional but is under construction and development.
