Ven Lama Tharchin Rinpoche

Lama Tharchin Rinpoche had a pacemaker inserted on 10th July 2007 and the operation is said to have gone very well. Rinpoche is expected to be released from hospital on 11th July but will still be under medical supervision in the Bay Area.

Lama Tharchin Rinpoche conveyed his love and  thanks to everyone for their prayers. He looks forward to seeing his students  very soon.

It is said to be essential that Rinpoche has complete rest so people are asked to please refrain from emailing or calling him for the time being.

His sangha, the Vajrayana Foundation, has asked that we continue with Orgyen Menla practice (the sadhana compiled by His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche) combined with recitations of Rinpoche’s long life prayer. The practice with the long life prayer is available at the bookstore Dharma Treasures: 831 761-6275

For Lama Tharchin Rinpoche’s long life they request, where possible, for you to do daily Orgyen Menla practice (Guru Rinpoche in the form of Medicine Buddha) with Lama Tharchin Rinpoche’s long-life prayer and/or Seven Line Prayer recitations with Rinpoche’s long-life prayer.

The Orgyen Menla text is available from the Vajrayana Foundation bookstore, Dharma Treasures: (831) 761-6274

The aim is to do the practice everyday rather than to accumulate a certain number. Those based around Pema Osel Ling are also doing this practice during their 2:30 pm retreat session every day.
